Opening Conversations
*Steven Kreuger talks future AEA Commissioner, Brent Belanger into starting a "beer league" hockey tournament in west Michigan.

*Meeting with Tom Mehney, Patterson Ice Center. Tom agrees to allow the first ever adult "beer league" tournament to be played at Patterson Ice Center.

*Meeting with Jon Perz, Walker Ice & Fitness. Jon agrees to assist in placing teams and giving the tournament a head start.

the name

The naming of the tournament is credited to Steven Kreuger.
*The tournament is officially named the "Silver Puck Challenge"

*Considering there was a tournament called "Silver Sticks" for children. We decided that "Silver Puck" would be a good fit and easy to remember name; making it a smoother transition from the children tournaments to the adult tournaments.
